Sunday weather report - after the storm...
|
Welcome to Grand Prix day here at Monza, where a heavy thunderstorm last night set some people worrying about the prospect of an unexpectedly wet race. By sunrise, however, Monza was once again drying out. It is now warming up nicely and temperatures will easily reach their expected high of 26 degrees Celsius. This means that the teams won't have to modify the strategies they worked out prior to qualifying yesterday, and they have greater leeway than usual because tyre wear in the autodromo is not as high as it is on tracks where high downforce is necessary. But, once again, it's going to be another tough race.
