Late January launch for Ferrari
F2005's successor to make test debut this month
The car with which Ferrari will attempt to recapture the FIA Formula One World Championship will be unveiled to the world on Tuesday January 24, the team have confirmed.
The launch of the as yet unnamed machine will take place at the International Mugello Circuit near Florence in Italy. The car will undergo its first test session at the track the same day.
Having won every constructors title since 1999 and every drivers crown since 2000, Ferrari lost out on both counts last season when the F2005 proved unable to match its Renault and McLaren rivals, the team finishing a distant third in the standings.
However, with a move to V8 engines this year and the return of tyre changes, many are predicting a far more competitive season from Formula One racings most historic team and their drivers Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa.
